Telangana Association of Australia Inc. (ATAI) is celebrating its first inaugural function of “Telangana State Formation Day” on 7 June 2014 at Hawthorn Arts Centre.
India is forming its 29th State called “Telangana” on 2 June 2014. To mark this occasion a new association is formed to provide a platform for cultural, educational, social and economic developmental activities in Victoria.
Vision: Support and represent Telangana community in Victoria.
Mission: ATAI will support and strengthen Telangana community in Victoria by taking an active role in facilitating the needs of newly migrants, students, preserve and promote Telangana culture and identity in Victoria said Raj Vulpala, President of ATAI.
ATAI will be addressing the issues of growing Telangana population in Melbourne; will engage in developmental and charitable activities in Telangana. Raj Vulpala mentioned ATAI will be facilitating workshops, forums and information sessions, support groups to educate and raise awareness in the community on various issues.
ATAI will also support the Telangana state back home in developing the facilities and needs of the people who are below poverty lines.
