AUMSAI SANSTHAN TEMPLE celebrated GURU PURNIMA on 12th July 2014, with great passion, verve and artfulness. Guru Purnima is one of three main festivals celebrated by Sai Baba devotees all over the world. All the devotees were given an opportunity of pouring milk to BABA and after that SAI SATYA VRAT is performed by 50 couples. During the abisekham, exuberant procession of palanquin by the devotees taken place. Event is supported by Victoria Multicultural Commission.
Hon. Lorraine Wreford MP, State Member for Mordialloc representing Hon. Matthew Guy MLC, Minister for Planning and Minster for Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship along with Kingston City Councilors Cr Geoff Gledhill and Cr Ron Brownlees OAM graced the occasion. In her speech she congratulated AUMSAI for its progress in past one year and expressed her best wishes for all the devotees celebrating Guru Purnima with great respect to their Guru Shirdi SAI. 500 devotees offered their salutations to Baba’s lotus feet.
AUMSAI Committee members felicitated the guests in traditional manner by presenting shawls and memento. Decoration with flowers, aromatic smells of incense sticks made the place more pleasant. Mouth Watering dinner is served to all the devotees after Shej Aarti.
AUMSAI SANSTHAN TEMPLE is going to celebrate its 1st Year Anniversary from August 6- August 9, 2014. With Baba’s grace AUMSAI Sansthan Temple, on August 9-11, 2013 opened doors to devotees of BABA. From that day we all got an opportunity to offer our prayers and celebrate the festivals of Shirdi in Melbourne. To mark the 1st year Anniversary Sri Venkateswara Swamy Thiru Kalyanam will take place on August 9th 2014.
